David Davis is a founding Director and Shareholder in Davis & Wilkerson, P.C. , a civil litigation, health law and insurance law firm based in Austin, TX. 
David Davis has been a civil trial and health law attorney for 30 years. An Air Force “brat”, Davis attended nine different schools before graduation from Eielson High School, Eielson AFB, Alaska, in 1965. After obtaining his B.A. in International Studies and M.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin, he served for 4 ½ years in the USAF, including two combat tours to Southeast Asia as an F-4 Phantom Weapon Systems Officer. He received an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force at Kadena AB, Japan as a Captain and returned to Austin and the University of Texas on the G.I. Bill where he obtained his degree in 1977 and his license in 1978. His law practice has primarily involved the representation of physicians and other professionals. He is board certified in Texas and nationally in his civil trial specialties. He is an Advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocacy in recognition of his skills, integrity and experience in the special art of advocacy. He currently serves as a Regional Director (five state area including Texas) for the DRI – Voice of the Defense Bar and is Past President of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the Federal Bar Association and the Litigation Counsel of America. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and Life Member of the University of Texas Ex-Students Association.
Davis is also the owner and President of Interservice Integrator, LLC, currently doing business as USMexico Consulting. The company provides business, management and marketing assistance to United States and Mexican companies and individuals who desire to do cross border business.
Davis is actively involved in work with charitable and social service organizations. He has been an active member of the Northwest Austin Rotary Club for 25 years. He is a Past President and current member of the District Hall of Honor and serves as chair of the program committee with the Club. Davis and his family are also active with the American Diabetes Association. His daughter Aimee died at the age 18 shortly after starting college due to complications related to Type 1 Diabetes. Aimee’s family and friends created the Aimee Melissa Davis Memorial Scholarship in her memory (http://aimeemelissadavis.com.) It is administered by the Austin Community Foundation, and since 1993 a scholarship has been provided to a Travis or Williamson County high school senior with Type 1 diabetes to assist them in attending college. Davis serves as the Immediate Past Chair and current Chair of Advocacy for the Central Texas Leadership Board of the American Diabetes Association. He has served as a member of the National Leadership Board, lobbying both Congress and the Texas legislature on issues of importance to persons with diabetes. He regularly volunteers with Volunteer Legal Services of Austin, primarily assisting those in need with disability claims. He is proud of the fact that his law firm has been recognized annually for its pro bono service in Central Texas, including with the prestigious Judge Joseph Hart Award in 2005 “for the firm’s integrity and dedication to legal services to the poor”.
