Joseph (Jos) DenHartog was born in the Netherlands in 1949. He immigrated to the United States in 1977 and settled in Boston, Massachusetts. Jos moved to Texas in 1994 and became a U.S. citizen in 2001.heart disease board vp J. DenHartog

An operations management professional, Jos has close to 40 years experience in the areas of sales and service operations, customer services and opportunity management. A well-organized planner, Jos is known for motivational leadership, team building, creativity, assertiveness and a commitment to excellence.

Jos served as Director of Service Operations for Unisys Corporation from 2001-2003 where he was responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining service delivery programs for Unisys’ largest account, Dell Inc.

A seven-year career as Director of Sales/Service Operations at Dell Inc. preceded Jos’ Unisys engagement. (1994-2001) At Dell he managed and led the Sales and Service Operations group for domestic Fortune 500 accounts. In this role he effectively built an Opportunity Management Organization focusing on Proposal Management, Program Management, Contract Negotiation and Contract Management.

Prior to assuming his position at Dell, Jos enjoyed a 15-year career at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, Massachusetts. (1979-2004) There, he held functions from Services Proposal Manager to National Services Account Manager and ultimately Channel Customer Services Manager before being recruited by Dell.

Before immigrating to the U.S. Jos was employed by Exxon Corporation in the Netherlands in which he had several administrative functions, for a period of 10 years. (1967-1977).While studying, Jos was employed for a period of 5 years in a retail furniture company.

Jos holds a diploma (comparable to a B.S. degree) in Business Administration from the Institute for Social Science, The Netherlands. He also completed an Executive Business Management Program at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Jos is personally affected by coronary artery disease and underwent quadruple coronary by-pass surgery in 2000.  Jos also serves on the board of the Symphony of Soul Foundation, a central Texas non profit organization providing musical presentations to those who are confined to convalescent homes, hospitals, and other institutions.
