Heart disease resources can provide a wealth of knowledge if you're looking for more information about heart disease.

You can be prepared for an emergency situation by taking a training class. The City of Austin Emergency Medical Services CPR/First Aid Division provides Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) training to the general public. The CPR/First Aid Training Division has been a training facility since 1985. When it comes to heart disease and cardiac arrest, being prepared is key.

HeartHealthyWomen.org is a joint project of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and WomenHeart: the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. The website is sponsored by the Office on Women's Health of the Department of Health and Human Services.

The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency to help reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) provides leadership for a national program in diseases of the heart, blood vessels, lung, and blood; blood resources; and sleep disorders. Since October 1997, the NHLBI has also had administrative responsibility for the NIH Woman's Health Initiative.

MedlinePlus, a goldmine of good health information from the world's largest medical library, the National Library of Medicine. Health professionals and consumers alike can depend on it for information that is authoritative and up to date. MedlinePlus has extensive information from the National Institutes of Health and other trusted sources on over 700 diseases and conditions.
